Tropical Cyclone Yasi
A deadly, destructive tropical cyclone now looms off the Queensland coast.
Cyclone Yasi (Category 5) will hit approximately 11pm tonight, bringing wind speeds up to 295km/h, along with heavy rainfall likely to lead to flash flooding. The eye of the storm is 100km wide, and will destory everything in its path. We will not see a storm like this again in our lifetime. Spare a thought for Queenslanders tonight. They've had a rough few weeks, considering the floods they endured recently, but they'll get through this too. The rest of the nation is with you. -JD

Queensland Floods
It's hard not to watch the news at the moment.
The amount of devastation caused by those floods - it's like something out of a science fiction film, or something you dream about in your worst nightmare. I've never seen anything like it. The worst part is, it's not over yet. The rain continues to fall.
To all those affected, my thoughts are with you.
I'll be making my donation this week, and if you can, you should too.
