# 32 "Hands Held High"

As usual, it's been a hectic week. It was really down to the wire to get this new painting done, and at one stage I wasn't sure I was going to finish it. But nevertheless, it's finished with a few hours to spare.

"Hands Held High"

I'm really pleased with how this painting turned out, probably up there with some of my favourites. Hands Held High is lyrically a very powerful and strong song, but my favourite part is the last two lines at the very end - "With hands held high into a sky so blue, as the ocean opens up to swallow you." There is very powerful imagery in those two lines alone, which is why I decided to incorporate it into this painting.
